YVES TUMOR APPLAUD (FEAT. HIRAKISH & NAPOLIAN & ANTHEM)

Experimental, self-taught musician Yves Tumor (Sean Bowie) uses an eclectic range of styles to montage his unique, genre-defying sound. He was Born and raised in Tennessee, then moved to California where he became a part of L.A's experimental music scene, claiming throbbing gristle as a major influence. The new single 'Applaud' features a number of collaborators including Hirakish, Napolian, and ANTHEM. The tune uses sampled, trip-hop inspired beats and a sample of a raw and sensual vocal is repeated. You can hear close breathing as Sean's vocal comes in with a soulful, hook: "Just need you to love me girl". Further samples of french speaking layer up the collage of sound as lazy industrial beats crash, adding to the Tricky-esque style of production, which uses elements of hi-hop, paired with murkier, gothic undertones. -Ellie Rose Davies
